What I loved about bobby, before we even did the interview was how appreciative he was that I asked him to be in my book project which really makes me feel good and makes me feel all the more motivated to try and complete all the interviews this Summer !
Bobby told me he thinks my book will be a great success and he plans to spread the word! Thank you so much Bobby!
Many of you have probably heard of the blue grass band called 'Kripple Krunk' they play some beautiful music and , what is really unique about them is that they have a drummer ! Now percussion instruments have always been a big taboo in the history of Blue Grass , and on the rare occasion that a drummer was used, he was hidden behind a curtain !
But Bobby plays the Cajon, which is a box drum played by sitting on it , which is pretty cool in itself!
You can find out more about this instrument, the band and Bobby on this web site:
After Bobby and I ran around the farm capturing pictures and having a nice chat on the porch listening to the rain, we headed over to the Log House Restaurant where we jammed on their back porch with Dawn Grant and Quinten Boyles.
Turns out Bobby plays a fine fiddle too ! It was such a fun evening and I thank you so much for agreeing to take part in my project ! You are a dear soul !
